Shriyantra Navavarana Archana is an advanced form of worship of the Shri Yantra, in which the different sections of the sacred diagram are worshipped in a prescribed order before prayers are offered to the Divine Mother at its center. The Shri Yantra is traditionally associated with Goddess Lalita Tripura Sundari and occupies an important place in the worship of the Divine Mother. The Lalita tradition describes the Shri Chakra as the sacred abode of the Goddess and gives importance to the worship of the different divine powers associated with it. The Devi Bhagavata Purana also describes worship of the Goddess through a yantra, including the worship of the Goddess, her associated divine forms, and the different parts of the sacred diagram. The word "Navavarana" refers to the nine surrounding sections or levels of the Shri Yantra. In this form of worship, prayers and offerings are made through these sections as the ceremony moves toward the central point, where the Divine Mother is worshipped. Depending on the traditional method followed by the Acharyas, the ceremony may include flowers, Kumkum, sandalwood, rice, incense, lamps, food offerings, sacred names, prayers, and selected recitations.
