Shri Pushpdanteshwar Temple is a Shiva shrine in Pataleshwar Gali, in the lanes of the old city. Shiva is worshipped here as Pushpadanteshwar, one of the many names under which he is honoured across Kashi's countless neighbourhood temples.
Like many of the city's smaller shrines, it is sustained less by recorded history than by the steady, everyday devotion of the people who live around it and pause here for darshan on their way through the lane. It offers a quiet, unhurried Shiva darshan away from the crowds of the larger temples.

The name Pushpadanteshwar recalls Puṣpadanta, the celestial devotee of Shiva to whom tradition attributes the Śiva Mahimna Stotra, one of the most loved hymns to Shiva.
